Bentley 1000A Portable B&W TV w/ PSU, Car Charger, RF Connector, Coax Cable

Item condition: USED GOOD Condition.

Cosmetically - excellent, no scratches or cracks in the case or screen

Functionality - Tube works as you can see in the video. I connected the TV to a DVD player to show operation. HOWEVER PLEASE NOTE, the Brightness and Contrast Knobs are not turning. All other knobs function normally. For my test, brightness and contrast were not an issue. Again, please review the video attached to this listing for details.

The image is "snowy." Twiddling with the tuner and the cable didn't really change this aspect of functionality. I believe it is just a quirk of this particular brand of TV. If you watch online videos of this TV in action, you will notice the snowy screen.

By including the Coax cable and RF Connector, you should be able to get up and running straight out of the box. Just connect one end of the Coax Cable to your Video Source (DVD Player, Video game, etc...). Connect the other end of the Coax cable to the RF Connector, then plug it into the "Antenna IN" port on the side of the TV.

Your Video Source must output 75 ohm RF signal. If it does not, purchase a RF Modulator that can output at 75 OHM. I used one when I tested that allowed me to connect S-Video or Composite Video. Just note that sound will not port through the antenna port in this set up. You will have to route the sound to another source like a stereo receiver, powered bookshelf speakers, etc...

RF Modulator and DVD Player ARE NOT included in this sale. They are only displayed in the video for demonstration purposes to show you what you can do with this technology.

This would be great for playing old-school vector games like Asteroids or watching retro TV Shows and Films. With the right RF Modulator, you could even play modern games like Cuphead which would look fantastic on an old black and white tv! Or, you could build a replica of the USS Nostromo's bridge from the movie Alien. This screen and knobs would fit that aesthetic perfectly!
