Vintage Gaming Pentium II 400MHz 320MB RAM Windows 98se 32 GB SD Card Hard Drive
Windows 98 / DOS PC Specs
This is the perfect set up to play Win98 and DOS games from the entire nineties decade and into the early 2000's.
Case: Inteva Tower
Motherboard: Biostar M6TBA Ver 1.0. Cleanest mobo I have ever seen. The caps are all pristine. There was almost zero dust in this PC when I first opened it up.
Mobo Chipset: i440BX
CPU: Pentium II 400 Mhz
Memory: 320 MB RAM
Storage: 32 GB D Card on a PCI adapter. The adapter is plugged into a PCI slot on the motherboard. The SD card can be removed and inserted from the rear of the PC. This adds a ton of convenience! You can pull the SD Card after shutting down this PC, connect it to your modern laptop or PC and then add games, pics, music, whatever your heart desires quickly and cleanly!
Optical: Generic CD-ROM Drive. Tested and working fine. (I even ripped a few songs for you to find).
Removable Storage: Generic 3.5" Floppy Drive. Tested and working fine.
Video Card: Diamond Viper V770 32MB NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 chipset. This card is the perfect balance for DOS and Windows gaming.
Sound Card: Creative Labs CT2800 Sound Blaster Vibra 16S ISA Sound Card with the famous YAMAHA OPL YMF262-m chip! Works fantastic with older DOS games as well as the more modern Win 98 games.
Network Card: 3Com EtherLink III, 3C509B ISA network card - YES you can browse the internet - with caveats - modern web browsing is a no-no. HTTPS was not around back in the day for this tech. However, I have installed Retrozilla. You can use this software to browse vintage sites and even some modern sites that are designed for older PC's! Please note this is old tech - so you only get 10 Mb/s throughput.
Logitech Internet Keyboard SK-2500 - Brand new in original packaging! Sweet retro styling with purple wrist wrest and fancy internet buttons. Those buttons look cool but probably don't work properly in this day and age.
Generic PS/2 Optical Mouse
Acoustic Bass TVS-23D speakers (with built-in audio cable to plug into the sound card)
Accessories included: Power cable, Network Cable
Software (all pulled from archive.org):
- DOS Games
- Doom 1993, DOS - tested working. Exit is not graceful. States, “returning to Windows” and hangs.
- Tyrian 2000, 1999, DOS
- Wolfenstein 3D, 1992, DOS
- Utility Software
- WinAmp 2.95: audio file player
- Retrozilla: Designed for web browsing on vintage PC’s
